Jude Fisher was born in Cornwall and currently lives outside London. She worked as a bookseller and publisher for approximately twenty years. She holds a degree in Scandinavian Studies, has specialized in Old Icelandic texts, and is the author of four novels written under the pseudonym Gabriel King.
