Anne McCaffrey was born in the United States in 1926 and is one of the most famous female authors in the field of science fiction.
The most well-known world she created is that of the Dragonriders of Pern, which is developed across more than thirty stories in her series.
From Aiolos Publications, the first two books of the series are available in print. For this series, Anne McCaffrey received the Hugo Award, becoming the first woman ever to win it.
