Filia Dendrinou is a theatre educator and actress. She is involved in the design and organization of theatre education programmes within the field of education.
Her work focuses particularly on mask techniques in Commedia dell’arte, clowning techniques, and the art of storytelling.
As a storyteller, she has presented her work in theatre productions and at various festivals in Greece and abroad. She has taught theatre across all levels of education and has participated in numerous European programmes focused on theatre research and promotion.
As a screenwriter and academic consultant for theatre-related documentaries, she has collaborated with Educational Television of the Greek Ministry of Education, the General Secretariat for Adult Education, and the Pedagogical Institute in the production of audiovisual material (DVD) for primary education entitled Theatrical Education from Grade 1 to Grade 6.
In recent years, she has worked as a theatre educator at the Filiakpaideftiki Etaireia (Arsakeia–Tositseia Schools), while also working as an actress in theatre, television, and film.
Her first children’s book, With Notes and Letters (1994), a poetry collection illustrated by the author herself, received a commendation from the Circle of the Greek Children’s Book.
