Miranda Vatikioti was born in Athens in 1982. She began writing at a very young age and has continued to do so ever since. Alongside her literary pursuits, she studied theatre and dance.
She is the author of the children’s mystery novella The Magic Clock (K. M. Zacharakis Publishers, 2006), which was nominated for the State Children’s Literature Award by the Directorate of Letters of the General Directorate of Contemporary Culture of the Greek Ministry of Culture.
She has also published the crime novels The Four Seasons of Mr. Ananias (Pikramenos Publishers, 2016) and The Secret of the King of the Cranes (Pikramenos Publishers, 2017).

All you really need to know is that what we wanted was to find out what is hidden in the basement of horror. And to do that, we began designing a giant sock to wear on our treehouse. We borrowed bushes, trusted the great Penny, accidentally made the town police station’s garden beautiful, discovered the Lost Places, followed instructions given by a ghost, dug up half the city in search of a pirate’s treasure, and did a whole lot more that I won’t tell you, because it would only confuse you.
What matters is that, while it was snowing at the beginning, spring eventually came—and with it, the truth blossomed…
