ROGER
ZELAZNY
Roger Zelazny (1937, Ohio, USA – 1995) was a science fiction writer, also known under the pseudonym Harrison Denmark.
He studied at Columbia University, where he earned a PhD in English. In 1962, he published his first short story, “Passion Play,” in Amazing magazine.
He worked for several years at the Baltimore Social Security Administration (1962–1969) before deciding to devote himself entirely to writing.
Zelazny remains one of the most captivating and distinctive voices in science fiction and fantasy. He received both the Nebula Award (from the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America) and the Hugo Award (voted by readers).
He wrote numerous novels and short stories. His novel Lord of Light, widely considered his finest work, is published by our press.
