The classic masterpiece that demonstrates the dual nature of the human soul: good and evil, inseparably united, scientific knowledge and the abysmal passions that drive man sometimes to the heights of astonishing technological discoveries and sometimes to the most horrific crimes.
Robert Louis Stevenson was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1850 and died on the island of Samoa in 1894. He studied law, but soon abandoned it to devote himself to journalism and literature.
