Drawing inspiration from the classic stories of H. P. Lovecraft, the design team Førtifem reimagines the greatest myths of Cthulhu in the form of a luxurious and fully realized tarot deck. Cthulhu Dark Arts Tarot is the first tarot deck entirely based on the eerie universe of the great horror writer.
Each deck consists of 78 illustrated cards — 22 Major Arcana cards and 56 Minor Arcana cards — and is accompanied by a 64-page guidebook introducing the basic principles of tarot reading, as well as the interpretation and meaning of each card.
The deck is printed on high-quality 315 gsm paper for enhanced flexibility, durability, and superior color and illustration reproduction.
Each card measures 8.5 cm × 16.5 cm, significantly larger than standard tarot card sizes, and closely resembles the format of one of the oldest known tarot decks, the Visconti-Sforza deck, created by the artist Bonifacio Bembo between 1428 and 1447.
