Once upon a time, in the very old days, the days of fairy tales, two great peoples, the Minoans in Crete and the Egyptians in the land of the Nile, ruled the eastern Mediterranean. Ships were coming and going from Crete to Egypt and vice versa. It was on such a ship that Harmis the Minoan went to Egypt. It doesn’t matter if he went in his dreams or for real. He went anyway, since he liked to travel. And so, riding on Harmis’ dream, we too travel, learning about people of other times. We meet Noi and the Nile, we come to know how people sought love, worshiped their gods, exchanged gifts, danced and had fun, drank sweet wine and traveled, just as they do now.
