MORNING ON DELOS

At the end of the first decade of the 21st century Bush, Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice and other Republican leaders are scheming to turn the democratic constitution of the United States into a theocracy. The power of the Constitution will be suspended, along with all individual freedom, and a brutal fundamentalist regime of inhuman Christianity will be established, with the ultimate aim of exploiting Third World countries and achieving world domination. The American elections are rigged and Iran has already been destroyed, when Eleftherios Zannis, a prominent Greek-American scientist, his girlfriend Pallas and his associates devise and implement their project for the “Reconstruction of History” by means of travels of the consciousness through space-time. According to their calculations, the theocratic regime is a “historical anomaly”, similar to the destruction of Delos in 88 BC. Thus, Zannis “travels” to ancient Delos to bring to modern times “an act of mercy” to prevent the establishment of theocracy. Will he make it? Will the Olympian gods assist him? And what role does his beautiful girlfriend Pallas play?
