1. Cthulhu Mythos is at the heart of H.F. Lovecraft’s work, as captured in his classic stories: terrible gods and monstrous creatures who come from otherworldly dimensions and the dawn of time to reclaim our world. Those unfortunate enough to witness them are doomed to madness and destruction.

Cthulhu Mythos has inspired countless short stories and novels by younger writers and creators, as well as role-playing games, video games, movies, comic books, and collectibles. The Cthulhu Mythos is now one of the most important aspects of pop culture.

Drawing inspiration from the classic stories of H.F. Lovecraft, the Førtifem design team recreates the greatest Cthulhu myths in the form of a luxurious and complete tarot deck. The Cthulhu Dark Arts Tarot is the first to be based entirely on the otherworldly universe of the great horror author.

Each deck consists of 78 illustrated cards, 22 Major Arcana cards and 56 Minor Arcana cards, and comes with a 64-page book for learning the basics of tarot and how to read and interpret each card.

The deck is printed on high quality, 315 gsm paper for increased elasticity and durability over time and better color and pictorial reproduction.

The shape of each card is 8.5 cm x 16.5 cm, considerably larger than the commonly used tarot card sizes and approximates the shape of one of the oldest decks of cards, the so-called Visconti-Sforza, created by the artist Bonifacio Bembo between 1428 and 1447.
