The Return of the King concludes the epic journey that began with The Fellowship of the Ring. The trials, successes and tragedies of the Fellowship’s mission are detailed in the introduction. The book then takes the reader to the final part of each of the Fellowship’s journeys in their quest to destroy the Ring and its master, Sauron.
