Yisselda has been abducted by the followers of the cult of the Mad God and taken to distant Ukraine. Hawkmoon must reach the Mad God’s castle—not only to rescue his beloved, but also to wrest from his enemy the Red Amulet, a precious aid in the struggle against the forces of the Dark Empire, which have already spread across all of Europe and threaten the defenders of Camargue.
