At the end of the first decade of the 21st century, Bush, Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, and other Republican leaders are scheming through intrigues to transform the United States’ democratic system into a theocracy.
The authority of the Constitution will be suspended, along with all individual freedoms, and a harsh fundamentalist regime of inhumane Christianity will be established, with the ultimate goal of exploiting Third World countries and achieving global domination.
American elections are rigged, and Iran has already been destroyed, when Eleftherios Zannis, a distinguished Greek-American scientist, his friend Pallas, and their associates devise and implement their plan for the “Reconstruction of History” through time-space journeys of consciousness.
According to their calculations, the theocratic regime represents a “historical anomaly,” comparable to the destruction of Delos in 88 BCE. Thus, Zannis “travels” to ancient Delos in order to bring back to the present “an act of mercy,” with which the establishment of the theocracy will be averted.
